Ap.setup

You can log in to your WiFi Range Extender using a web browser with an ap.setup web link. Once you unbox the device, place it somewhere in a convenient location, and make sure that you have a working internet connection. In case, the URL ap.setup does not work, you can always use the IP address 192.168.10.1 to open the setup page. If you are still confused about the setup, you can proceed with the steps below to begin.

Ap.setup Using Web Browser

• Plugin your extender within close proximity to the router within the same room.
• After this, you need to connect your smartphone or computer to the extender.
• For 2.4 GHz, you will see ‘Wireless-N’ and for 5Ghz, you will see ‘Wireless AC’.
• Open the list of WiFi networks and get connected to one of these networks.
• After a successful connection, the ap setup wizard will automatically appear on our screen once you open the web browser.
• If the setup wizard does not appear automatically, open any web browser on your computer. In the address bar, you need to type http://ap.setup and hit the enter button. This will direct you to the Extender Login page.
• Here, you need to choose an option that would allow you to set up the extender. For example; you can choose from either ‘Access Point’ or ‘Extender’ as per your preference.
• Once you are done with the setup, unplug it and set the location as per your preference.

Unable to Login To Ap.setup? Here is what you need to do?

• Always type http://ap.setup web address to access the setup page.
• Update your web browser to its latest version available or try switching the browser.
• Before you proceed with the setup, you need to make sure that you have connected the device to the Wireless network name ( Wireless AC, Wireless-N, Wavlink, Victory, MSRM’).
• If you are still not able to access the Ap.setup page, reset your device.
• You can even try using the WPS setup method instead of browser setup. For this, you just need to press the WPS button on your router and within 2 minutes, you need to press the WPS button on your device you would like to extend.
• Unplug the device for about 60 seconds and set up the URL again.

Change the Password For Login

If you want to keep the device secure and protected from outside threats, you need to change the login password for the extender. Here are the steps to follow:

• Click on the ‘WiFi’ option.
• Visit the http://ap.setup web page and type the default password to log in.
• Now, you need to click on the ‘Setup’.
• Choose ‘login password’ option,
• Type the ‘Old Password’ and then ‘New password’.
• Click on the ‘Apply’ button.
• Use the new password for the next time login.
